Observer or observed

For this painting the inspiration came from the model drawing sessions that I attend at the CĂrculo de Bellas Artes. I found it interesting that often, before entering the session, seeing the people waiting to enter it is difficult to guess who is going to be the model and who are the rest, that is, the artists. I found interesting the idea that a person can be the observer or the observed, or both at different times, and I wanted to bring that duality to this work.

The painting is made with acrylics that are highly resistant to the passage of time, and I have not used varnishes that can yellow over time. I have painted the lateral edges, so that it can also satisfy those who prefer to expose the paintings without framing.
